      The estimated cost noted above is only a good-faith estimate and may vary based on and number of factors such as the complexity of the documents, the time needed to consult with you to gather the necessary information, understand your objectives, answer questions, and make your requested changes. Additional documents may be needed to implement you plan, i.e. two trusts for husband and wife with separate property. It may also take additional time if any special drafting is necessary.

      Affordable Legal Documents will always triage each documents case. If we feel that our documents may not be suitable to meet your needs, we will help you through the process by referring you to a specialized attorney and work with you to implement your documents and plan.

      “The first purpose for the attorney review is to determine if the documents comply with and will likely be effective under the applicable laws of the your State. The second purpose for the attorney review of your documents is to determine if they are likely to meet your needs as represented by Affordable Legal Documents and that they contain the necessary provision to implement your desires.

Legal Disclaimer: This legal review is a departure from the traditional attorney/client relationship. Therefore the maker of the documents expressly understands that the reviewing attorney has (1) not interviewed you in person, (2) not determined your competency to execute these documents, (3) not supervised their execution, and (4) not assisted in the funding of the trust as he normally might do.

      If Affordable Legal Documents is representing both a husband and wife or a not-traditional couple in the preparation of their documents then you will need to understand one of the following Consents to Joint Representation:

CONSENT TO JOINT REPRESENTATION

MARRIED COUPLE

      As husband and wife, we acknowledge that we have retained Affordable Legal Documents LLC in connection with the preparation of certain legal documents that we have requested. We acknowledge that we have each been advised of potential adverse interests that we have in relationship to one another in connection with these documents. It has been pointed out to each of us that under ideal circumstances it would be preferable for each of us to be represented by separate counsel in connection with our estate planning and other documents we request to be prepared. However, while acknowledging the potential conflicts and adverse interests, we believe that it is in the best interest of preserving harmony and mutual trust not to be represented by separate counsel and we desire that Affordable Legal Documents LLC work with us to achieve the mutual financial planning goals which we have in mind. We each specifically request and consent that Affordable Legal Documents LLC, its individual employees, and contracted providers thereof function in this capacity in spite of the fact that the result may be that one or both of us will sacrifice rights or assets that we might be counseled against sacrificing if we were represented by separate counsel.

      We also each acknowledge that the employees and contracted provided of Affordable Legal Documents LLC will endeavor to keep in strict confidence, as to third parties, everything that either of us reveals to them. However, each of us hereby authorizes and directs Affordable Legal Documents LLC, its employees, and contracted providers to tell the other anything which either of us reveals to an them with respect to, or which could have an effect upon, the documents, even information revealed by one of us outside the presence of the other. In the event either of us creates a situation where Affordable Legal Documents LLC is unable, in good faith, to comply with the preceding directive, without substantial risk of causing an immediate relationship crisis, Affordable Legal Documents LLC may, at its option and in lieu of revealing information of which it has become aware, simply notify both of us in writing that Affordable Legal Documents LLC is withdrawing from further representation of either of us and advises both of us that we may wish to seek separate counsel with respect to these documents.

      We further each acknowledge that we have been advised that if at any time we become uncomfortable with suggestions that are being made or actions that are being taken, or we decide that we wish to have our respective individual rights protected, we may notify Affordable Legal Documents LLC in writing at which time Affordable Legal Documents LLC will immediately cease its joint representation.

CONSENT TO JOINT REPRESENTATION

UNMARRIED COUPLE
