Guidelines for completing the Trust and Estate Planning Data

Thank you for allowing Affordable Legal Documents to assist you in this important work.  Here are some guidelines to help you through your data entry.

1.   "If I died tomorrow..."   As you contemplate your answers to many of the questions, assume that you or you and your spouse died tomorrow.  Everything you are about to do can be change at any time, and likely will over your lifetime.  The questions posed at the beginning of each section will prompt you to think deeply about your answers and the information you give us.

2.  "I don't know what to put." Each section has help and guidelines.

3.  "I'm still not sure."  Don't worry. You can get further clarification by:

- sending us an email to questions@affordable-legal-documents.com

- ask during our interview session.  You will have an opportunity for a live conversation with one of our professionals who can answer your questions and help you through the tough decisions.

4.  "It's the right thing to do." Remember, you are not doing this because you have to.  You are doing this because you want to -for your own sake and - for the sake of your loved ones.  Remember the four reasons for this work:

1.  Preserve family harmony.
2.  Control the distribution of your stuff.
3.  Avoid probate.
4.  Preserve you assets from unnecessary expenses and taxes.

Congratulations.  You are doing the right thing. Thank you for letting us help.
